Today we hear the Gospel from Saint Matthew Chapter 8 verses 5-13, about the centurion who approached Jesus as he entered into the city of Capernaum. The Centurion entreated the Lord to heal his servant who was paralyzed and unable to move. The centurion did not ask Jesus to visit his house; rather, he asked the Lord to give the “word” and he believed his servant would be healed.
In today’s gospel from Matthew 6:22-33, Jesus exhorts us that the, “eye is the lamp of the body”, if your eyes are healthy then your life will be filled with light, but if they are unhealthy then your life will be full of darkness.
