Loretta Mary Hrnjez age 93 of West Chester passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 21, 2023.
Loretta was born in Minnesota and grew up on a farm. She met and married her high school sweetheart Nic. During their years together they traveled to all 50 states during her husband’s naval career and leisure travel.
Loretta worked as an executive secretary at DuPont. She spent many years as a homemaker and retired from DuPont at the age of 65.
She enjoyed her family immensely, especially her grandchildren. Her favorite pastimes were reading, sewing, ceramics and singing. She had a love for animals, especially horses which began as a child on the farm. She will always be remembered with a contagious smile, beautiful blue eyes and the sweetest most caring personality. Loretta was a beautiful person inside and out.
Wife of the late Nicholas C. Hrnjez,LCDR, mother of the late Kimberly, daughter of the late Stanley & Regina Maciej. Sister of the later Elmer Maciej and Donna Vaia.
Survivors: Loving mother of Bruce Hrnjez, Heather (Ed) Foy, Michele Hrnjez Burrell, Also survived by her cherished grandchildren Eddie, Ashley, Ryan, Brandon, Mackenzie, Peyton and Gavin.
Sister of LaVerne Nelson and Adeline Halvorson.
