Memory Eternal!

Mitchell Orrin, 72, of Folsom, PA passed away on February 15, 2021. He was born September 19, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA to Leo and Jean Orrin. He graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1967 and attended Villanova University. Mitch married Diane Fisher at Our Lady of All Who Sorrow Russian Orthodox Church in the Fairmount neighborhood of Philadelphia on May 1, 1988. They have two sons, Christopher and Michael, a dog, Charlie, and a cat, Lacey.

Mitch was an upbeat and cheerful person throughout his life and loved joking with family and friends. He was a mainstay throughout his community and always greeted neighbors while walking the dog or out for a run. He spent his life adhering to the Greek Orthodox faith and was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church of Media and St. Herman of Alaska Orthodox Church of Glen Mills. He was a fixture at Greek and Russian festivals throughout the Philadelphia area, often supervising festival parking.

As a young man, Mitch was an avid runner, and in his later years you could find him walking the Ridley High School track. Mitch also loved a good cigar by the fire with family and friends, reading the daily newspaper, and jumping into the cold Atlantic Ocean at Polar Plunges throughout the Jersey Shore.

He was a ham radio operator for several decades and cherished his time spent as a member of the Marple Newtown Amateur Radio Club, participating in their weekly nets and public service events. He will be profoundly missed by his family and friends. May his memory be eternal.

Mitch is survived by his loving wife, Diane; sons, Christopher (Nikki) and Michael (Rachel); brother, Nick (Tammy); nephews, Peter, George, and Sean; and family pets, Charlie and Lacey. He is predeceased by his mother, Jean Orrin, and his father, Leo Orrin.
