Memory Eternal!
The beloved servant of God Anatole Bredikin, age 95, of Newtown Square, passed on February 2, 2023.
Beloved husband of 64 years of Cynthia (née Orloff) Bredikin and loving father of Tatiana Bredikin, Stephanie Palmer (Jim), Natalia Volz (the late Peter) and Theodore Bredikin (Pamela). Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Anatole was a devout Orthodox Christian and one of the founders of Saint Herman of Alaska Orthodox Church now in Gradyville, PA.
During the early years of aerospace, Anatole was an engineering project leader on studies of first synchronous orbit communications satellites for the military and then studies of interplanetary transit to Mars. Later, he established Penny-Farthing Bicycle Shop. An avid lifelong bicyclist, one of his most memorable accomplishments was a 4,500-mile ride across the United States at the age of 54. Anatole was a member of the Republican Party, and a passionate voice on the principles of democracy and personal freedom. He made significant contributions for the community at Dunwoody Village, his home for the past 16 years, and served as President of the Dunwoody Residents’ Association.
