The Gospel Lesson for the 15th Sunday Of Matthew is the most important teaching of Jesus which is love. In the lesson from the Gospel of Matthew 22:35-46, Jesus said the First Commandment is love and the Second is also about love.
Love is the greatest commandment which crowns and holds together all Christian attitudes, virtues and deeds. Christian love is God’s Grace in action: forgiving, healing, and uniting people in faith and love.
The central and eternal message of Christianity, the core of its existence, is love. Christianity is the movement of love, for when Christ lives and truly reigns in the Christian, in us, He lives and reigns as Holy Love. He Himself is the incarnate love of God, sacrificed on the Cross for our salvation.
Let us truly keep the Lord in our hearts: the Holy Love of Christ!
