Pascha 2009

Each celebration of the Glorious Pascha of Our Lord is a celebration of that first Pascha! We the faithful, come as the women disciples, to the empty tomb. The Resurrection of Christ is the new Exodus, seeking to enter into a new inheritance, the fullness of God's Kingdom. Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!

Pascha 2010

Pascha 2010

Let us remember, dear brothers and sisters, that the entire Holy Week constitutes a summary of the whole economy of our salvation. Let us remember that the “Passover” Pascha, is not only Easter Sunday, but the mystery of the Eucharist, the mystery of the Cross, and the mystery of the empty Tomb. Let us endeavor to welcome the Resurrection of Jesus Christ by journeying with Him through Holy Week. Let us as we assemble in our Church, truly greet one another at midnight, with the Paschal Kiss, singing, "Christ is Risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the Tombs bestowing Life". Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!

We as Orthodox Christians witness all of these events within the confines of our beautiful services for they are not reenactments but are real. The journey to Pascha is now complete: for that which began in death has ended in life, and we become filled with the joy of the Risen Lord. For Christ is Risen from the Dead as it was foretold and we sing with the angels, "Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia".
Nativity 2009

Nativity 2009

The Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is preeminently a Feast of Joy. In the radiant faces of children and the expectant sparkle of their eyes, in the exchange of gifts and greetings, in the sounds of Christmas music, and lights we catch a glimpse of humanity's deepest longings for joy, peace, sharing, unity, love and most of all jubilant celebration. Christmas is an invitation to us all to come and seek the fulfillment of our desires through Christ, Who became man, lived among us and embraced us with His love. Christ is Born! Glorify Him!
